Welcome back boys - it was a long 336 hours.
This morning on the radio a woman said that alot of people feel as though they've bonded with the photographs of Brant and Todd, and that they've befriended them in their hearts. I'd say that's about right. The above photo is of the guys walking out of the mine as promised - having just spent two weeks in what was essentially a crawlspace. My favourite moment was when the guy removed the tags that indicate they're down the mine, and put them on the "Safe" board. Ha!
The new Federal Budget was announced tonight - yet again we have the best tax breaks for the rich, because they obviously REALLY need them. How much does a Federal Treasurer get paid, Mr. Costello? Lucky me, I fall into the income bracket that's received the least reduction in tax rates. Fuck you very much.

The term bittersweet has never been more fitting than when those guys came out! So nice to have a good result for them!
